I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently.  Have others noticed this?

I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are

You mean the section under Sleep? If so, I still have my RAM and deep sleep data ?  I don’t like the new set up as a few months ago, but it’s still there and I don’t have premium ?

I still see mine what kind do you have ?  I have sense

Sense on iPhone 15 / iOS 18.0.1
Most days my sleep display is 3 lines (Awake, Restless, Asleep) and there are blobs along these lines, mostly asleep. The text above has start and end time for the sleep. (Often these are out).

Some days there are 4 lines (Awake, REM, Light, Deep) Blobs along these lines and for the larger blobs there is a vertical line between the transitioning stages.

This second graph is the only one that seems to count as sleep for the required 14 sleeps in the month for the "sleep profile". Despite wearing the fitbit to bed every night, I've logged 6 nights from 28 days.

Why the change? Where is the sleep score?? Now I can’t see the periods of different stages. I really do not like this new sleep information! Practically useless. Is it a scam to get people paying for “Premium”?

I have premium and haven't had sleep stages reliably for months.

Am I going mad or have they changed the way the heart rate is displayed?

Best Answer

No you aren't going mad. Plus it gives inaccurate heart rate readings when it gives them at all. I have other devices to measure my heart rate and they are all consistent, but the fitbit is way off. At times it says I have no heart rate. This only started with the new app.

The new update is very boring. Also, I too miss that plus the oxygen level variances and the sleeping heart rate. I didn’t resubscribe  to the plan so they removed that info. Looking into another brand. This new way is disappointing to say the least.

My Charge 6 has been working as expected since I got it. The sleep reporting has been as expected since I got it. However, the last three days have looked like:

sleep.PNG

This makes no sense for a number of reason. It says I was not awake at any time. I know I was awake at least twice for several minutes. Two plus hours of restless? what does that even mean? Adding the Restless and asleep time is about 5.5 hours. I was actually "asleep" for seven hours starting around 8 pm. So what was I doing for the hour and a half until Fitbit started recording?

I have not changed my sleep habits, I didn't notice any difference in how I slept, nothing has changed that I can think of so why did Fitbit change my sleep reporting?
