Hi @sarahdpt, thank you for bringing this to my attention, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate your effort and patience manually logging your sleep for the days your device didn't tracked such information. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Fitbit device you're currently using? When was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? If your device tracks Sleep Stages, you're not receiving them or sleep information at all? In the meantime I receive your answers, please check our help article: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around.

I currently have the versa, and it has been inconsistent with tracking
sleep since ~8/20. It will not show anything unless I manually add the
times into the sleep log, and then it will show awake, restless or asleep.
Since 8/29, the sleep score has only been listed 14x v the 28 days it has
been.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply and update @sarahdpt, sorry for the delay in responding your post.

The details that were shared with me are appreciated, certainly the sleep tracking feature isn't working on your Versa device as the way it was designed. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to try the following steps and let me know how it goes:

1. Please confirm that your sleep settings are normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?

2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

3. Try sleeping with the watch on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already

4. Confirm that the watch is snug on your wrist (the HR lights shouldn't be visible)

You can find more information about tracking sleep here

Looking forward to your reply if further assistance is required, please keep me posted.
