Suddenly my sleep is not being recorded. It was working fine. Now it logs false data based on when I turn my phone off and when I sync it in the morning. What happened to my sleep record function?
I called the help line and they said it needs an update but it's been 5 days and no updates.

Let me help you with your sleep detection. Which Fitbit device do you have? Could you share screenshots of a correct and incorrect sleep log? Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
