Sleep not updating completely

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have the Charge3 - It does not seem to accurately capture sleep details. For example, I got to sleep at 11pm, get up at 6 for the dreaded bathroom break, go back to sleep for an hour.  Most of the time it will not capture the time after I awakened at 6 - even though I may have gone back to sleep for another 45 to 50 minutes.  Suggestions?  I have updated the app today.

Welcome to the Forums @Hinokidiva.

Let me help you figure out what is going on. I will be moving this thread to the Charge 3 board as I think it is better suited for it.

There are several reasons why this could be happening:

  • If your HR remained relatively high after going to sleep then your Fitbit would think that you are still awake.
  • If you are moving around after going to sleep would also cause it to think that you are awake.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for your reply. My confusion here is that with my Charge 2 - the additional sleep time would get recognized and appended to the overnight sleep total - Charge 3 does not seem to do that consistently.  It will pick up the additional sleep time rarely.  Not unusual for me to go back to sleep for anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes.

Hello @Hinokidiva.

Thanks for bringing this up.

Maybe you could follow the tips to improve the HR tracking that are listed in this help article. They could help so that your HR is better tracked and so the sleep is logged for those times too.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
