Sleep tracking not work for higher heart rate

Does the automatic sleep tracking not work if you have a higher heart rate (unfit)? Heart rate profile is set to my age and metrics.

Have been wearing pixel watch 2 for over two weeks now with everything turned on. Sleep tracking set to sensitive in the Fitbit app. But i only have about an hour of sleep getting logged some nights, others nothing. I can see it is measuring heart rate the whole time though. My AVG RHR is 79 based on the app, and am working on better heart health with doctor since it's not great for my age etc. I

s it possible my heart rate while sleeping is not going low enough, for long enough, to trigger sleep tracking etc?

Hello & welcome @Lachy21

This Fitbit help article might be helpful to you to understand how Fitbit devices track sleep (<-- click link).

According to the article, your watch should be tracking your sleep when your body is at rest & you haven't moved for about an hour. Have you tried using the normal sleep sensitivity setting? If you're a restless sleeper, having your sleep tracking set to sensitive could be causing your watch to track too much movement.

Have you tried editing your sleep log in the Fitbit app with your correct sleep start & end time to see if that will generate data? You can also manually add a sleep log in the app by using the + icon on the Today page. If you see data in the app, then your watch is tracking your sleep, but it's not showing in the app.

You're doing a great job working with your doctor on improving your health.

Hello,

Thank you! Yes normal sensitivity has gotten it working better, I hadn't thought of it that way. Nor had I realised the data would show up if manually editing the timestamps.

So yes this worked have now got most of the sleep time coming up, usually in like three chunks, or last night it just didn't kick back in for the last few hours after the sunrise likely work me. But can just edit it here and there if I want. Imagine I'd have to tie my arm down to get it any better.

Thanks
