Hey you @idea_sa, it's nice to see you around the Community! At this time, the Sony Xperia XZ is not included in the supported devices.
While many Android devices have a Bluetooth 4.0 chip, not all devices are able to be accessed by apps like the Fitbit App. Fitbit is the first fitness device to offer Bluetooth Smart syncing with your Android device.
Since your device isn't listed yet, you can check our list of devices at a later date to see if device support has been added. By know you can either sync with another compatible device or computer/Mac.
If you have any additional feedback on this and other features let me know!

It's great to see that you've visited the Community @Rob93!
The Sony Xperia XZ is currently not a supported device. Although the Xperia XZ hasn't been fully tested and listed as supported, it wouldn't hurt to attempt to set up your Xperia XZ for syncing check out the instructions @Odyssey13 shared. . Depending on your device, all features may not be fully functional. Keep an eye on this list as it will be listed there once fully tested.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi,
I can see the Sony XZ (Xperia Z) is now on the 'Compatible List' and shows pretty much all features/functions as being available, but I can't see anything in regards to the Heart Rate/Monitor Sensor? I have checked quite a few Sony phones such as Z1/Z3 and all show the same available fuinctions, but no mention of the Heart Rate/Monitor Sensor? (I can see the 'Sleep' functiom shows as being compatible for the Sony XZ)
Can you please confirm if the Heart Rate/Monitor Sensor is available for the Sony XZ please.
Regards

Hi there @JChute. Good to see you in the Fitbit Community! 🙂
When it comes to heart rate features, this depends on the tracker more on what mobile device you're using. What I mean with this is that if you have a tracker that has a heart rate monitor, no matter what phone you're using -as long as it's compatible- will be able to pick your heart rate information and sync it to your Fitbit app for you to keep record of this. The heart rate sensor comes on the back of specific trackers, not all of them. The trackers that have a heart rate monitor are the Fitbit Charge HR, Fitbit Charge 2, Fitbit Blaze, Fitbit Surge.
Hope you find this information helpful and anything else you may need, let me know! 🙂

Hi @FerdinandFitbit,
That's brilliant. I see that the Majority of functions for the Blaze are compatible with my Sony XZ, so WILL be purchasing a FitBit Blaze over the weekend!
Kind regards

Hello @JChute, good to see you keep visiting the Fitbit Community. Note that the heart rate feature depends of the Fitbit tracker you have and not from the mobile phone model you have. In this case since you mentioned the Fitbit Blaze this tracker has Heart Rate sensor so it will be display on your Fitbit app on your phone.
For more details about the Blaze please take a look to our product page.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

@JChuteI have the Sony XP with Android V7.0 (not on the list) and it has had perfect results with all of my Fitbits.. Every option works for me and it has never missed a sync or notification in the few months I have had it.
It is so reliable I have had to set two alarms on the Blaze , one to remind to turn notifications off in the evening, and the other to set them on in the morning. I wear the Blaze 24/7 and it was waking me up.
My previous Z1 on Android 4 then 5, gave me every error you may have seen in the posts.

Thanks for visiting the Community @JChute!
It's great to hear that you're being able to use your Xperia Z with Fitbit.
In regards of the heart monitor inquiry, the reason why you don't see this data on your app is because the Fitbit Alta doesn't count with this feature. You can learn more about the Alta on this great post.
See you around!
In case if you undergoes any issue while using heat rate feature then don't worry it is just because of compatibility issue. To fix this unpleasant issue just keep your app as well as phone up-to-date. (Important)- Also try to upgrade the firmware version of your phone. For upgrade setup please make visit to Sony Xperia XZ Manual.

@tyuoaapo I have the Xperia XP and that works perfectly. All of functions on the Blaze.
Best AnswerMay be I am misunderstanding... But I do not see any of the 2016 Sony phone models in the compatible list! Xperia XZ or Z5 or XA, XA ultra, nothing shows up in Fitbit's compatible device list. How are your phones working with the app?

Are we talking about the same models of android phones Sony has released in 2016?

@SufiNothing has changed... My Sony Xperia XP is still working perfectly.. GPS, both MobileRun and Connected GPS works.. Just waiting for Fitbit to correct the Southern Hemisphere GPS inaccuracy in the Blaze connection. Notifications, emails, alarms all OK.
