Bizarre!! Today I apparently gained my lighthouse badge however I definitely did not do the equivalent of 50 flights of stairs. Some days it struggles to pick up the flights of stairs I did at work and today it pick up hanging up washing oh and walking around a flat tesco. Any ideas?

Hi there @ellieandneil. Good to see you around! 🙂

Your tracker detects floors using an altimeter, which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Though your tracker is designed to look for pressure changes based on elevation gains, pressure changes due to other causes—such as a gust of wind, a weather change, or opening a door—can occasionally cause your tracker to register an extra floor or two.

Any of the scenarios described above might have caused your tracker to count more floors than it should.

My charge 2 has also been counting to many stairs and has given me 3 badges that I haven't earned which is very frustrating. I've only had it since Christmas and have constantly had problems and having to restart all the time.

Hi there @Fitchick2016. Welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂

Have you verified the information above as to see if any of this is affecting how your tracker records floors for you?

Hi yes I realise that weather is related to excess stairs climbed as we have had very high humidity lately. I'm just frustrated that I didn't technically earn those badges on my own and would like to delete them.

Thanks for getting back @Fitchick2016

Thanks also for confirming that this is what could've been messing the stairs accuracy on your tracker. At the moment, the only option to delete floors would be to add a "Driving" activity. However, this will also delete steps for the time frame you specify so in this situation, I'd say it's  better to leave it like that and to keep an eye on it and see how it goes from here.

Let me know if you need any more help!

I didn't do anything out of the ordinary yesterday and my floors climbed on a normal weekday 25-50 to 355, I'm already at Noon up to 96.  Something is DEFINITELY going bonkers.  I did the re-start, that did not work.  I seem to have the most up to date firmware as well

This is so fustrating.  It shows over 200 floors.  I am trying to work out and this is giving me badges that I did not earn.  How do you fix it? Please don't give me how it works.  I need it to do what I bought it to do.  Any help?

Agreed, Nene4. Fix the bugs re wind and humidity (really?) instead of giving them as "reasons" why my Blaze says I have climbed 5 floors today. My house is ground level, and I live on an island at 8 feet above sea level. There is no building in my community that's taller than 44 feet and I can guarantee that I did not climb any of them.
