Hello, when I run on my treadmill my 2.7 miles, the step counter is consistently 2000 steps shy of what it should be. It only gives my around 3000-3500 steps instead of 5500+ steps. Is there a fix to this? I've tried changing stride length, setting to automatic, and using treadmill feature, but none of them works.

Hello there @Druburyless, awesome to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I saw your tracker is not giving you the amount of steps it should when you are doing exercise on the treadmill.
Note that your tracker in the basic form is a motion sensor, so I'm wondering if at some point you are holding the side bars of the treadmill? This can have an impact in the accuracy of your tracker. Factors such as tracker placement, dominant or non-dominant wrist, and stride length can all affect the number of steps recorded. Same principle that if you're pushing a stroller or shopping cart. For accuracy advise review this article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?
If the accuracy is not related to any external factor, it would not hurt to try a restart. For more details please use our help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
See you later and hope this helps.
