My Fitbit Flex2 is not counting my steps for the right day. I had over 6,000 steps today. Instead of logging them all today, the app split up my steps between yesterday and today. This is not the first time. I wasn't even wearing it yesterday and it was dead until I charged it this A.M. Anyone else having this issue? It's very frustrating especially when in weekly challenges

Hello @FitGirl05,
In order to understand this phenomenon, you need to understand how Fitbit trackers track time. Fitbit trackers track time like analog wall clocks. They track time until it loses power (battery expires or there's a power outage). When it gets power back, it continues to track time, right where it left off...
Let's say that you're wearing your Fitbit and the battery expires at 8am yesterday. You don't plug it in to charge until 8pm (twelve hours later). You're in a challenge so you go for a morning run at 6am, you're up to 4k steps.
Here's the problem... Your Fitbit is still twelve hours behind. So while you think that you got 4k steps today at 6am, your Fitbit thinks that you got those steps yesterday at 6pm.
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do now to get those steps credited to the right time. In order to avoid this in the future, just charge your Fitbit before it completely loses its charge. If you do happen to deplete the battery, charge it and sync it before you start to wear it.
I hope this helps.
