Still not receiving notifications

Fitbit customer support is a joke. Since the update I have not been able to use my watch to it's full potential.  Why fix something that was not broken, $200 dollars later I have a device that is useless.  CSR reps giving me the run around that engineer's are working vigilantly to fix the issue with Android phones. Very frustrated and disappointed to say the least.

Hi @almun22@Morrie and @Poliver. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for letting me know that you're having issues with the notifications, as well for the steps tried on your own. I understand how you're feeling about not being able to take advantage of this feature. Our team has been informed about this situation affecting our members and they're working hard to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. While you've tried troubleshooting your Fitbit devices, please make sure to have exhausted the steps described in this help article, as well to have allowed the Fitbit app to run on the background as this will ensure the connection between your Fitbit and the app. Once we have more details about this matter, we'll share it in the Community Forums.

I'll be around if you have another question.

I've been having the same issue and I've tried everything! I will receive the message on my fitbit but with no vibration. Super frustrating!!

@Graffs4 that would be a different issue.

Make sure that the tracker is not in its DND mode.

Have you tried a restart. And if your tracker has the option, a shutdown, which is the best way to do a hard(ware) restart.

Hi,

I have Versa2 with Android 8 phone.  Getting texts, but all other notifications have ceased.  Pursued with support start of December, multiple deinstall/reinstalls and reboots but no resolutions.

The notifications worked until Fitbit broke them.

The response from Fitbit is very poor.  Just got off chat with support now.  No news, the reply was:

"I'd like to share with you that we are still working on this issue to be resolved. While we don't have a time frame for the fix, for the meantime we suggest keeping your app up to date."

No news.
No time to fix.
No apparent care.

I am getting fed up with Fitbit.  A reasonable tracker, but no longer a smartwatch.  How long should they expect us to hang around just in case one day they may fix the issue they created.

@Graffs4 does a test notification come through? This is found under the 3 dots in top right of the notification settings page. If not I would disable notifications, from the same menu.

Now close this and turn your notifications individually back on. You should be promoted to accept permissions.

Do you get notifications while the phone screen is locked? Your phone is not in its Do Not Disturb Mode and volume is not turned off?

I've also fixed notifications on my Android 8 by logging out and back in. At least once a phone restart or killing the Fitbit app through the phones setting, apps, Fitbit. Force stop.

Have you searched these boards for your phone model?
