Stop Showing Ads in the App

It's once again time to remind Fitbit that we paid for our devices, a lot of money compared to other fitness trackers. Part of that money goes to the use of the app, because you can't use the hardware without the software. Being presented with huge, literally full-screen ads is simply not acceptable.

Because I live abroad, I just received an ad for Fitbit hardware timed to a public holiday I don't even observe, but that is beside the point. I paid for this, I don't want to see any ads in the app!!!

Once again Fitbit, STOP THIS!! Stop displaying full-screen ads in the app that we MUST use to sync the devices that we paid for!!
This one is especially ignorant because I don't live in the US, so $$$$ do not make any sense. Also, given the situation with COVID-19 this is extremely insensitive with many schools reporting large numbers of infected students. NOT something that warrants a sale in my opinion.

Twice in the space of one month, more full-screen spam from Fitbit. I am so sick and tired of this. You buy Fitbit hardware which means you're forced to use their software app, which in turn means you're subjected to an increasing number of ads that cannot be turned off. All this does is ensure I'll never buy Fitbit hardware again and am actively warning everyone who wants to hear it against buying this ad-supported yet premium-priced product.

If you buy a Kindle with Amazon ads, you get a price reduction or alternatively, you pay a higher price to buy the version without ads. In Fitbit's case you pay the higher price and STILL get the ads!!

Any comments:

Once again it's time to remind all Fitbit owners that Fitbit does NOT care about user satisfaction, it does NOT care about feedback!!

All it cares about is money and that is why it is spamming full-screen ads in the app again. Completely disregarding the fact that we paid for the product (and that definitely includes the app).

Tap the x and move on.

Sorry but I can see how Fitbit might like to let users know that there are sales. You might have someone who would like a Fitbit.

Fitbit never said that they would implement every suggestion. And besides this thread is in the area where users discuss and help each other with problems. It is not on the suggestions for fitbit board.

Two ads last month. No choice but to avoid Fitbit products in future. BTW, Google acquired Fitbit. We all know what Google is good at.
