Please help!
I'm suddenly getting a sync message in the info bar at the top of my mobile and I can't get rid of it. I'm not on all day sync, I just sync manually when needed. No other settings have changed but it's suddenly started appearing and I can't get rid of it. It's driving me crazy! Any ideas please?

Thank you for your reply @LanuzaFitbit, I have now turned the message off, but I'm concerned that fitbit is running in the background when it doesn't need to be and will affect my mobiles battery lifeli
I don't use all day sync and don't have my GPS on as I'm at work all day and don't need it, so why would my fitbit need to run in the background and how can I stop it doing so?

@Kazonnet. To turn off Background data on the Fitbit, tap Android Settings, Apps & Notifications, Then tap Apps info, find the Fitbit App and then tap Data usage and turn off Background data.

@Colinm39, thanks, ifif you mean my mobile settings I haven't got anything that says turn off background data, all mine gives me the option to do is uninstall and force stop, but the force stop will stop the app running altogether and I don't want want that. 🤔

Hello @Kazonnet and @Colinm39.
Thanks for being around to help @Colinm39.
@Kazonnet Definitely it will impact the battery of your phone, but in reality it should be minimal. Similar to how apps like Facebook, or other social media apps, run in the background so that when you get a notifications on the app you also get in on the phone.
Having said that, doing what @Colinm39 explained will help so that it is not taking up data while running in the background. Glad you were able to do it.
Feel free to reach out with any further questions.
