I have a new surge and it won't pair with my pixel xl. I've tried everything that I can think. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hello @Vinnie27, nice to see you have joined the Fitbit Community. I'm wondering what troubleshooting steps have your tried? This is just to not recommend possible steps that you might have attempt on your own. Also I would like know which version of OS are you running on your mobile?

In the meantime I'll go with the basic when these situations happen:

  1. Turn your Fitbit device off and back on using the instructions in this post.
  2. Try the setup process again.
  3. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on).
  4. Try setting up your device again.
  5. If you can't set up after the reboot, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

See you later and hope this helps.

Thanks RobertoFitbit

It still didn't pair. I got in touch with Fitbit and they said that you are unable to pair the surge with the pixel xl at the moment.

If I knew this before purchasing, I would have got one that you could pair.

Thank you for your help and hopefully they may pair them up soon 😊

Take care

Hi there @Vinnie27, my apologies for my absent after your post. I was checking and our list of compatible devices and the Pixel  and the Pixel XL is compatible. So I'm, wondering if you were experiencing any issue in specific?

Perhaps was a misunderstanding with the new models, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL . This devices indeed are not listed as compatible yet and we cannot guarantee its behavior with the Fitbit app and the Fitbit tracker.

Let me know how it goes. See you later!
