I realize this is a very old thread but was wondering if there was ever a resolution to this problem. I have had my Fitbit Charge 5 for 3-4 months and am only able to sync after a full restart of the phone. I have tried all of the "solutions" on the "Why won't my Fitbit device sync?" site and the only one that works consistently is restarting my phone. The syncing issue happens daily and sometimes it is helped by turning bluetooth off on my phone and turning it back on again. Sometimes it works if I try to sync and then walk away from my phone with my Charge 5 so I'm about 10 ft away while it syncs but neither of these helps the situation where i'm not getting notifications because the bluetooth connection is dropped between my devices and I'm unaware. There needs to be a solution! Should I file a warranty claim for my Charge 5 and get a new one, will that solve it?
Help is appreciated!

@Jlcardet Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out regarding syncing your Charge 5 with your Google Pixel 5.
I appreciate your initiative to solve this on your own. The next thing I recommend you check is the following article: Why does the Fitbit app need to run in the background on my Android phone?. These settings help keep an active Bluetooth connection between devices.
Please also make sure that your Fitbit app is up to date. Please try clearing the cache storage of the Fitbit app and try again. This you can do by going into your smartphone´s settings. Tap on "Apps". You will get a list of the installed apps. Search for Fitbit and tap on it. Then tap on "Storage" within App info. Tap "Clear cache" at the bottom of the screen. After clearing cache, check permission and settings shown in the article above.
Have a nice day!
