My phone is a stylo 2 and i used to have a charge 2 and it had no problem syncing and receiving notifications. However, everytime that i try to sync my new ionic, it won't sync. I have tried everything. I tried unpairing the ionic, i have tried turing the Bluetooth off and then back on, and just about everything else suggested on every forum that I could find. Please let me know if there is something else i can try.

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your LG Stylo 2 that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
Keep in mind that your mobile is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience connection difficulties with it.
