Syncing difficulties with LG V40 ThinQ

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After syncing since May when I bought the Inspire and the Android phone, it has now stopped syncing.  Supposedly this phone is not one of their approved devices.  So why did it successfully sync or 3 months?  I am not happy with Fitbit

Hi @Fletch11 welcome to the Community Forums, it's a pleasure to assist you today.

Let me share with you that the LG V40 ThinQ is not currently listed as a compatible device with our products and services just as you stated in your post, therefore, you may experience certain connection difficulties with it. I'm aware that some users are able to use non-compatible devices with our Fitbit products, however, we cannot ensure a proper function of all its features due to this compatibility concern, Android, Fitbit app and device updates.

That said, if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

If by any chance you're still unable to use your Fitbit with your mobile device, I suggest you to try with a compatible device or a computer instead.

I'll be here if you need anything else, please keep me posted.

I do not have Windows 10 on my computer.  I am so disappointed with Fitbit and cannot fathom how the app on my phone synced with my Inspire for about 3 months and now suddenly stopped.  Since my LG V40 Thin is not a cheap phone--why is it not on your list of compatibles?  And why did it now stop?  I have lost some of my faith in fitbit.  Very disappointed with this answer and response.

Thanks for your reply and update @Fletch11, sorry for the delay in responding your post.

I'm sorry to know that you feel in such way, totally understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. Please keep in mind that your LG V40 ThinQ is not included under our list of compatible devices not because it's expensive or cheap, this is because we haven't tested this specific device to ensure that our products and services will work as the way we designed them.

Because your mobile device receive updates, the same way the Fitbit app and your Fitbit device do, we cannot ensure that the syncing process will work as intended. Therefore, my best advise will be to take in consideration the information that was shared in my previous post and try with a compatible device instead if you continue experiencing difficulties.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
