Syncing difficulties with Samsung Galaxy Note 10+

Hi there,

I have a Fitbit Versa with the latest available firmware 32.68.9.15 (at least, it won't let me update to anything newer). Using the Android app version 3.7.

For some reason, I am unable to sync the watch to my phone automatically. I have to open the Fitbit app each time I want to sync.

I have checked and done the following:

- Disabled battery optimisation

- Reinstalled the app and factory resetted the watch

- Deleted the app and re-installed from app store

None of the above works. In particular, I notice there is no "Fitbit Sync Service" notification which used to be there (yes, I have checked and the notification for Sync Service has been enabled).

What's wrong? I had no issues a few weeks ago.

Hi @trenzterra, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting are appreciated. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted, I'll be around if you need anything else.

Hi there..

Did you have issues with your previous phone? Same Versa?

I had a Note 8 - and never had syncing issues..

I think this might be a Samsung hardware issue.. I also have issues with my car..

And the OS on my Note 8 was also Android version 9....

My sister has the latest OS on Versa as well as her Note9... No issues....

Hi..

I do have issues with my note 10+ and the fitbit versa... In my above post I mentioned that I didn't have issues with the versa and my note 8...

It's like the Bluetooth connection "breaks" and then you need to send the command to sync again.. Then it works. It doesn't continuously sync. The notification from fitbit comes on to say the last time you synced was at this time. And it give u the option to sync now.

When the connection 'breaks' I don't get notifications when someone phones me..

I'm here to agree and report that I am dealing with the same issue. Note 10+ and constant syncing issues.

I just got my note 10+ and am having the same issue.  I have to constantly manually sync my fitbit versa with this phone.  It loses connection over night even though they are within proximity of each other.  Very frustrating.  Is there any resolution.  I have it set to All Day Sync

It is January, and I seem to be having the same issues with my brand new Note 10. I am wondering if it's a Samsung issue??

I have also done all of those things and even when you do finally get it to sync it doesn't stay there very long

Fitbit versa is a piece of crap. Im really frustrated because it keeps on failing to sync with my note 10 plus and ive done so many fixes without a long solution. it might be better to throw this away and never buy from fitbit again. I cant understand why i never experience this with my garmin watches.
