Syncing difficulties with Versa and LG G6

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got my Versa last Christmas and even after all the updates, my fitbit won't pair or sync with my LG G6 phone. I've tried every troubleshooting tip out there and nothing has worked. Occasionally it would suddenly start syncing and receiving text alerts etc, but never for more than a few days or so. Since the last update (before this most recent one) I've not received a single notification (and yes I've checked all the settings). I'm about to factory reset as a last resort. Note also the device syncs just fine with the Apple devices (tablet and kid's iPhone) in the house, just not my cell. I'm beyond frustrated now

Hello @Lmwright, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting too, I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted, I'll be around if you need anything else.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I went through everything on those links, changed a few settings that were suggested and my phone still can’t connect to the versa. In the setup, the screen shows “found it” but “connecting...” then pops me back to the “not working?” screen. I’ve turned Bluetooth off everything else, even unpaired my phone from my car that’s in the driveway. Still nothing. I’m at a loss at this point. I’d prefer to not reconnect to my iPad (it’s the only device that works with the watch) until I’ve exhausted all options for my phone, but I might have to 😒

Well, I tried one more time after I

posted that last reply, figure out how to force stop Bluetooth, uninstalled and reinstalled the app on both iPad and LG phone, and linked and synced the versa to my iPad to get Wi-Fi etc setup. Then I decided to disconnect from iPad and try one more time to connect to my LG app and lo and behold it works and I can get calls and texts on my Versa now! I'm done touching things now. I hope it lasts this time.

Well, that Didn't last long again. Last successful sync was Dec 20. Back to No device found. It's been a very frustrating year!
