and cannot get the Blaze to sync with my Android phone. I went from an iPhone 6s plus to a Samsung Galaxy 8 and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and the phone keeps telling me that it is not there. Any idea of how to get it to sync with the new phone?

Hello @HL24358, good to see you one more time in the Fitbit Community! Since you already have a Fitbit account started with your iPhone, there is not too much to do after that, beyond logging with your Android app using the same email and password that you have in your iPhone.
Make sure you are running the latest version of the Fitbit app. This wee was released a new version so keep an eye on your Google Play store if the update is already available for you. For more details this post might be of your help: Android app version 2.65 is now available - 1/22.
If the issue keep persisting please give it a try to the following troubleshooting steps: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
See you later and hope this get you back on track.

Everey thing is up to date with both the phone and the fitbit app and still will not sync or allow messages on the phone. It's killing the battery when it does sync which is when I am either out of the house or asleep.

Hello @HL24358, thank you for keep me posted and my apologies for the late response. Indeed, since our last interaction we received reports that the app was failing at the moment to sync. As a way to resolve this we released a patch for the app to address this issue.
To see the latest version details please take a look to the following post: Android app version 2.66 is now available - 2/5

Keep me posted, I'll be around giving follow up to your concern.

Dear friend, i wish you best luck with the android sync nightmare.
The first thing to check into your brand new s8 is in the bluetooth settings.
Follow this steps:
Put your fitbit in reboot mode (with the Charge 2 this happens holding down the side button WHILE in battery recharge status)
Go to s8 bluetooth settings. Turn off bluetooth and turn ON after a bunch of seconds. Let other devices find your phone, begin a scan... And...... Your fitbit MUST appear on to the list of found devices. now you can let the fitbit app do the rest. I reccomend you to remove and re add the fitbit device by the app itself.
I've got a Huawei Mate 10 Android phone, fitbit doesnt even appear on devices list so trying to pair it up in the app is simply a waste of time.
I hope things go different with yours phone.
