My fitbit app wouldn't work with my new Samsung Galaxy S7 (Marshmellow) due to syncing issues. I just reset my fitbit (plug it into laptop/wall charger and hold button on left side for approx 10seconds until fitbit symbol appears, then unplug it). App worked instantly! 🙂

Best AnswerThe regular S7 should work fine, it was working long before it got on the approved list. I'llassume you already went through the setup and troubleshooting.

We also have to make sure Fitbit has permision. Phone settings - Application Manager - Fitbit - Permission
Also check the phones Sound and Notification, you want the show in lock screen enabled.
Some phones also have a setting for notifications to show in a pop up window., which also will be enabled.
Now thtough the app - notifacation - the tracker - do a send test message.
Best AnswerI am having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

Hi there @Gailks, I'm glad to hear you were able to resolved the issue. Indeed, with Text notifications you can only set up one app at the time, since it wont let you to configure two apps to received your notifications.
Let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community @Annieanderson and @Clare16. I'm wondering what exactly is happening with your trackers? The problem is it with the call/text notifications or with the set up process?
I would like to know more details, so I can give you some additional help. In the meantime I'm wondering if you reviewed the links shared by @Rich_Laue in the post above.
I'll be around so let me know how it goes.

Any updates? I just got the Blaze today and so really excited to start using it until...... it said it wouldn't "talk" to my Samsung S7. I would love any help you can share with me.

Welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @breealeene and it's nice to see you again @Clare16.
@breealeene I'm wondering if your tracker is not syncing when you say it wouldn't talk with your Samsung S7? If this is the case, please give it a try to these steps: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
Hope this get you back on track. Let me know how it goes.

Hi! I got the fitbit charge 2, when i got it this april it worked perfectly. In may it stopped syncin with my s7 edge. After i tried everything to get it working i got shipped a new one. And it has been working perfectly untill today.. what now? How do i get back on track?
I am curious if having the Samsung 7 and S7 edge being incompatible with the Fitbit, if this is Samsung's way of forcing users of their phones to buy the Gear.
I've had a Charge 2 for months now. I paired it with my S7 the day I got it and it's been rock solid since. Steps, heart rate, notifications and other functions all work as advertised.
S7 Edge with Charge 2. Sync is never consistent. I'm constantly needing to restart my phone or manually sync in the app to try to get it to work. Go on bike ride and it tracks for a while then goes out. Love my phone and my fitbit but it's frustrating.

Hello there my friends, @Hsende, @Marcellajae42, @Gary_R, @robt541! It is so nice to see you around. In this case since this phone is not officially compatible, this means it has not been tested by our engineers. So this being sad, the phone might work just fine, like our friend, @Gary_R has been experiencing. But it can also give a lot of problems.
Thanks for your patience as our list of compatible devices is being updated.
See you around. 🙂
I'm also having the same issue. I tried the resetting - I have even deleted my charge 2 from my account but now it's not finding it in discovery mode. I have turned the blue tooth off and on - rebooted my phone... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
