Preamble: As described by many people, the treadmill does not calculate distance correctly - or at all - but that's understandable and not a problem as the workout can be edited with the distance in the app. Unfortunately, incline cannot be added, but this should be covered by heart-rate acting as a proxy.
The problem: After selecting and completing a 'Treadmill' workout I can manually edit the distance in the app. However, after saving it, the app will then revert to the Pixel Watch 3 data once it syncs deleting the edits made to the exercise. I understand that I can fully manually add the exercise, but then there will not be an associated heart-rate measure.
I assume that other devices have the same issue, rather than just PW 3?
Please explain how to rectify this.

Update; the distance can be edited and saved the following day, however steps are not included, and calories do not update.

Have much the same issue using the manual setting-gets the steps logged in twice, once when actually doing the work and then again when the manual function dies it calculation. Now I have to just make note of steps when I start and deduct that number from the total steps when finished.Just don't bother with manual. It is a real PITA compared to the mode on my Sense. No idea why it got de facto totally eliminated. Currently, just creates a total misleading exercise. Do 5,000 steps and get 10,000.
Anybody got a fix???

Curious...if I were to leave my phone in my pocket, would it not record the steps and distance? Using this info and the information from the watch, one would have all of the appropriate for the app?
