What Happened to BMI?

Yesterday I migrated to a new Samsung Galaxy S24 phone and needed to update my Fitbit app. I have a Fitbit VERSA 2. When I entered my weight and BF data today, the graph showing BMI is no longer available. Is there any way to get it back?

Try "Manage Data" and then under the text in green is a link that reads "Review your data". That's where the old view is hiding 🙂

Hello @CaminoHiker and welcome to the Community.  I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for your question.  I'm sorry, but I can't help you, because the iOS app is different from the Android app.

I have a samsung s23 and my wife a samsung s21. We can both confirm that the BMI tab within weight section of the app has disappeared. I really hope this a glitch and not a further reduction of fitbit usability.

The graph seems to be gone but when you switch the time frame to "daily", you at least see your current BMI.

Thanks Bleeptrack. I do see the current BMI in the daily tab now that you point it out. While helpful, I don't understand why the programmers at Fitbit would take away a useful graph like BMI over time. I hope the powers that be at Fitbit are reading these posts.

Another gripe that I have about their graphs is that the "year" graphs start all over in January. What good is that? As it is now, the "Year" graph tells you nothing new that you can't get from the 3-month graph until April. Why not give us a rolling 12-month graph instead?

The old presentation of the data is still there they've just hidden it away for some reason.

Click the three dots at the top; click Manage Data; click Review Your Data. And it's there.

Thanks for the reply, but it's not the case for my app (for the Android).
After updating to the most recent version, the old presentation is gone.
When I press on the 3 dots, all I get is "Weight Settings" and Manage
Data". Neither of which provide me with any options for changing how the
data is presented or in finding any of the old charts (such as historical
BMI).

I wish the developers would listen more closely to their customers and stop
mucking with the data presentations. It seems like every 6 months or so
they push another change on us and it's usually not for the better. If they
feel compelled to make a change, get rid of the useless "YEAR"
presentations and add a 12-month rolling chart, which would be much more
useful.

This workaround is now also gone. Thanks for nothing for nothing, Fitbit. 😞
