For several days I'm having problems syncing my fitbit, very annoying...
Will likely replace with another brand this weekend if app bugs are not fixed. (Yes, my location setting is on...and draining my battery thank you)

It's probably not fitbit that's draining your battery. Location has to be on due to rules from Google but fitbit doesn't make use of it. It's worth checking which apps are making use of it.
There doesn't seem to be a system wide issue with syncing at the moment so the problem is likely to be at your end. What can often fix the problem is a restart of your fitbit using this procedure:

Give this a few tries as it doesn't always work first time. If it still own't sync after that there are some more ideas in this help file: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866 and if that doesn't work then I guess you'll be giving up and going with another brand.
