Text messages not showing up after recent app update. Shows the person texting but not the message content. I have done all the bluetooth resetting, all the recommended system and app checks i could find about this issue. Nothing works after the latest fitbit app update. Samsung galaxy s8+ android version 9.0 pie. Phone and apps are up to date.

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner.
Thanks for bringing this up and trying all of those steps to get the notifications to work.
In this case, I'd like to ask some questions to better understand what is going on:
In the meantime, I'd like to recommend that you try setting a different messaging app as the default one and then set notifications up with that one. That should help in getting the notifications to work properly.
Keep me posted on how it goes or if there are any other questions on the matter.

I am also having the same problem. Was working fine until the last update. I have an Alta and Galaxy 10. Have tried all recommended remedies.

As recommended i changed my messaging app. I am currently using Textra and the messages are now coming through my Fitbit. I dont know why the default samsung meassaging app stopped working but i have no issues now.
Try Textra ! HTH.....

This is also happening to me on a Galaxy 10 and an Alta. Started happening sometime in the past few days after an update. It vibrates and shows the messenger's name but no text after.

Textra worked. I do hope they fix the issue with Android soon. Seems silly to have to download an alternative app to get messages when there was no previous issue until this update. I'd gladly go back to the old version if it was possible.
