Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I don’t see the review I left, at all.

This new dashboard is horrible. Give our widget arranging back, at least! And the top is wasted space with room for only 4 main goals.

Hi @KAD4

Mine isn't there either. Maybe they are still "verifying" them?

Why can’t I see my Fitbit’s battery percentage like in the old version

Best Answer
Because the upgrade sucks

It should be informative to Lizzy and her peers that her upbeat 9/19 announcement of this redesigned app has racked up a walloping seven (7) votes since it was posted.  Clearly the folks who actually use a Fitbit as part of their health and training program don't seem to think this is anything close to being worthy of organizational pride not to mention it being a total fail regarding usefulness in reaching our goals as the 3.x version had done so well for years.

@rcfoulk well said!

  • It’s horrible!  Put it back the way it was.  This change sucks big time.  Are you people listening to your feedback at all?

Fitbit downloaded a new dashboard the other day and I am unable to get the original one back. The new one is horrible I can't even enter Treadmill as an activity...it goes to "treadmill activity log" only and that is useless for recording daily activity on my dashboard. It should have been a choice to update or note. Have contacted support chat and they have no idea how to fix this and just fobbed me off after half an hour of discussion. Not happy, any suggestions!

@rcfoulk- good point. I hope they are following their ratings and reviews on the Google Play store- must be lots of recent one star ratings since their average star rating is falling!

@rcfoulk- Sadly, I believe your conclusions regarding Google's behavior and motives are correct, but I think they may have lost control of the situation. There are so many negative comments that they can't find and creatively edit them fast enough. Imagine, they must be exhausted! The good news for them is that if this company does not do the right thing for its longtime loyal customers, there will be a lot fewer of us and they can get a nice long rest.

No I am a premium member and I can not find a percentage!

Hi, I don't usually write the feedbacks for products or apps but I had to put my thoughts here as the fitbit app was one of the most used app on my phone for years..this update is horrendous! Clarify wise, visually, data wise..everything is horrible !! I find it hard to read and evaluate my stats! and its very unfriendly 😞  If possible, please please please bring back the old app!

Please "redesign" the app back to what it was!! Tried to get used to the new format. Hard to do when it doesn't work... screen freezes constantly, or just won't load. Hate that I can't change the order of what I see. Why make us scroll through everything to see what we could easily find using the old version??? I'm begging, PLEASE bring back the old version! 🙏

I have maybe ever commented on three topics my entire life. I feel 'comments' are rarely ever taken seriously. Please take this serious.

Hi,

how can I download the older version.

What you write is exactly how I feel.

Best Answer

You have to search for the 3.9 or 3.88 A_P_K and download it on your phone.

Go into the android settings to allow external installation and you need to then turn automatic updates off.

Uninstall the current version then look for the downloaded file and install it. Then login as before.

Best Answer

Concerning @SimonTournay's download comment, as best as possible make sure that any download is from a vetted source.  One malware attack vector is putting malware code in such installation files.  Some sites scan the files like the play store, others don't.  Avoid the latter.

Best Answer

@rcfoulk so having the choice between:

(A) potential malware affected 3rd party installation file used for sideloading the old Fitbit app or

(B) using the new Fitbit app

choice is crystal clear: (A) 😂
