Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Yes, v4.06 is the version I have installed on my Samsung s23.

Yay, the percentage of battery life remaining is back on the home screen.  Thanks for listening and adding this back.

Hopefully more improvements are on the way.

Hi LizzyFitbit,

Any timeline on fixing the issues customers of Fitbit have continued to report on this forum?  Is there going to be a fix to manually entered activities that the device can’t detect and heart rate tracking?  One can’t see HR on the activity anymore if it is manually entered.  In addition, many users continue to question the overall accuracy of the metrics for the device.  Will these be addressed?  While app designers may think the look is better, the functionality of the device remains questionable.

Thank you,

Sue

I can't get the weather on my watch since the upgrade. It tells me to
sync....I can't even count the # of times I have done this with no success.
My question isn't when are you going to fix this but if you are going to
fix all of the "upgrade" issues.

Thanks for pointing this out @Stillworking - I've just noticed that the weather isn't working on my watch either.

I've also found out that the iOs upgrade seems to have retained the precious screen layout. And as a result have also realised that another downgrade is that we on Android can no longer continuously scroll though exercises but have to go into each separate week. So now I can't even find the last time I went for a run as it's just too time consuming.

Anyway - I've given up on Fitbit fixing any of this - the app is pretty much useless for me now, because it won't allow me to edit exercise, it takes far too long to find things on the app screen, the heart rate information is reduced, and it drains battery on the phone -  so I've bought a rival watch.

Thank you! The display on my bracelet does not work but it still collects data, I really needed the battery meter added back to the app. Thanks again.

I have tried to like the new app, however sadly it just doesn’t work for me. The previous app layout was much more motivating for me. Wish there was an option to switch between the two.

Fitbit's only answer to solving their issues is to tell you to buy another Fitbit.    I did break down and get a new smart watch ....but it isn't a Fitbit.

@judetheobscure "email from FitBit this morning inviting me to migrate my account to Google" fun thing is in the whole email doesn't say any solid reason nor advantage what a migration to a Google acount brings to you compare in just keeping your Fitbit...

I agree. I liked the way I could track my route walked with all the data that goes with it. I do believe we should be given the option to accept or decline the update or the capability to roll it back. I liked the old layout.

Never expected the new app to be like this.. I was asked to update my Fitbit app today when I chatted with fitbit staff this morning due to problem with my fitbit. I was saddened.I prefer the previous fit bit app.

Those that have said that Fitbit is being phased out I would agree with. The only thing I can come up with is that they are trying to lose customers, when nothing you are putting out is better than before. I used to really strive to get badges or goals to me but when the product improvements are nothing but downgrades what is the point. We know that they will never fix anything, just like their music player that never worked that works great on my Galaxy 6. I would say I have owned over a dozen fitbits but this this one will be my last and who ever thought Google Pixel watches are good needs their eyes checked.

The cost cutting continues as Google and Fitbit merge across all departments. There's little chance of getting the features restored to the devices and apps.

Hi @Brehn03 - the new V4 Fitbit App causes more issues than it resolves. You can see more in posts in "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!" topic in the appropriate iOS or Android app forums along with the other unhappy users.

Unfortunately Fitbit don't officially allow going back to the stable V3 version.

Something going strange here, the latest post I can see is January 12. Is this forum broken as well as the Android App?

I'm now getting error messages that say this thread no longer exists. Anyone else see that?

Yup. Is there a minimum character count?

Number one in 'Hot' Product feedback!

Just a maximum of 66 pages(!) of complaints count. 🙄

The new UI is so mono color and uninspiring. It wastes space and shows less information.
