I used the "solution" of removing the battery and then weighing myself 5 times. That was a waste of time. Does anyone have anything better to try?
My husband loses weight and his percentage goes down. At 5'6" I lose weight, (155 to 132) and it still says 36%. What's up?

@ashes2ashes Hi and welcome, which scales are you using the 1 or the 2., have you checked the settings in your account, does the percentage show different on the scales,
if aria 2 you could retry the setup On your Mobile app dashboard, tap on your Account icon > Aria 2 > People Using This Scale > your name > make sure the Display Bodyfat and Show BMI are toggled to the On position. if not it will stay set at the starting setting
Let us know if this makes any difference
Kind Regards
Wayne

@ashes2ashes I'm sorry about the late response and I'm also sorry about the body fat inaccuracy that your Aria scale is experiencing. I have forwarded your case to our Support team and they'll reach you via email soon.
@ashwolve Thank you so much for your help and contribution!
See you guys around!

I have been using the Fitbit Aria scales for a long time. I first had an Aria 1 and now have the Aria 2. In all that time the body fat (BF) percentage has been mostly inaccurate. Unfortunately from all of the reading I have done this is to be expected as the norm.
If you accept that BF is inaccurate as the norm, it would seem somewhat logical that given that the measurement system does not change, you would hope to expect that the results would be at least consistent! Then at least you could use another method to determine your BF and just track your changes.
However even that does not work. For example over the last 4-6 weeks I have lost 10 lbs and my BF percentage has consistently risen during that period by over 2 percentage points. According to the Aria I have not lost 0.1lbs if fat - all of my weight loss has been lean body mass.
Today I finally again used a 7-site skin fold test to measure BF (13.7%) and compared it to the Aria 2 result (18.2%). The Aria 2 BF percentage has risen from a low of 16.4% up to 18.2% as I have lost weight. So inaccurate!!!!!!!!!
What is even more confusing to me and does not make any sense. I decided to enter my BF manually to adjust the graphs so I could visually see how far apart the weight graph line and the BF graph line are. On that graph page at first it showed my new BF as 20.2% - where the heck did that come from??
I just went back to verify this number and now all of my graph results for the last 30 day period show my BF as 13.7% now. What the heck???
BOTTOM LINE IS: EVEN IF THE BF MEASUREMENT METHOD IS NOT EXPECTED TO BE EVEN REMOTELY ACCURATE, IT IS NOT UNREASONABLE TO EXPECT THAT THE DATA ENTRY METHODS AND CALCULATIONS COULD BE DONE CORRECTLY AND REASONABLY CONSISTENTLY. IF FITBIT CANNOT DO THAT THEN JUST REMOVE THE FUNCTIONALITY!!
