Transliteration not working with Charge 2 and Note 5

I have tried many troubleshooting procedures I have found on these forums and others, but I can not get transliteration working on my Charge 2. I get a message with the phone number or contact name and an icon for a text message on the Charge 2, but the actual text message message does not show on the charge 2.

A close friend has a charge 2 and a Galaxy S5 and his messages scroll across his Charge 2.

I have Galaxy Note 5 running android 7.0 (stock, NOT rooted), Fitbit charge 2 with 22.22.55.2 firmware, and Fitbit app version 2.71

As far as I can tell, these are all up to date.

I have "All-Day Sync" enabled as well as "Always Connected" and "Keep-Alive Widget"

"Enable Transliteration" is enabled. "Require Encryption" is off.

On my phone, "Do not disturb" is off, the Fitbit app is set to "Allow Notifications" and "Set as priority" is enabled.

I have tried many combinations of adjusting settings like: turn Bluetooth on/off, restart the charge 2 three times in a row, turn phone off/on, log out of the app, uninstall/ reinstall the app.. all to no avail.

Can anyone offer any other suggestions?

Hi @Jaksmack  in the Fitbit app, under the Fitbit tracker settings go to Notifications, select text messages, select your default messaging app. A little window will pop up and you have two choices, show sender and message or just sender.

Holy-Moly Shelly1011!!! You are a genius!

Thank you so much, this has been eating me up for a long time.. lol. But for real, thank you very much, I don't know how many times I went to that location and confirmed that my texting app was enabled and never once clicked on it to see if it had any options.

thank you!!
