UK Pixel Watch 3 - Loss of Pulse Detection Not Available

Hello,

I got my PW3 a few days ago and having checked Googles Support site for information on the loss of pulse detection feature, noted that it is 'currently available' in the UK. The article also states how to activate the feature.

Article: https://support.google.com/fitbit/answer/15250403?hl=en

However, the setting for this feature does not appear in the watch app, in the safety app or anywhere on the watch itself.

Checking other forums, a few people have mentioned the same thing. UK users that cannot find the option to turn this on, despite it being available in the UK according to the article.

As this was advertised as a launch feature, the lack of communication from Google has been disappointing. I have made several phone calls without an explanation being available and have had an email written asking for support which is being bounced between the Watch 3, Google 1 and Fitbit support teams.

No one seems to want to help with this issue.

What are others people's experiences? Has anyone actually managed to activate this feature, if so, where are you based?

Thanks, hopefully this gets sorted for all soon and Google step up their communication.

Hello @Danny12224

Thank you for sharing the information from Support.

I read an article yesterday about the Loss of Pulse feature and saw that it was still rolling out. Good to know that they have a timeline for the rollout.

I have seen some rumblings on Reddit today, two users saying that they have enabled the feature in the UK.

Have any UK users on here managed to enable the feature and if so, when did you manage to do that?

I'm pleased for you, frustrated for me.

I still don't have the feature on my Pixel 9 pro xl and pixel watch 3.

Were you notified to activate the feature or did you come across it
yourself?

I didn't get a notification, I just checked the settings and it was there!
Somebody on the forum said it would be there by the end of September, so I
would think it will be in the next day or two!

Hey,

Yeah it was me who's said end of September, that was what Support told me.

I am keeping an eye but my device definitely doesn't have it enabled yet. I
am really hoping it comes online soon.

Do Google normally release features in such a staggered manner? Even for
users in the same region? (I think we're both UK).

I wonder if the main device has any impact, what device do you use if I may
ask? I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL.

I hope to be able to join the pulse detection club soon 😂

Hi everybody ! Thank you for your messages and for sharing the info you all got from Support.

@RiekoC thank you for your help.

@Pegomas1 @Danny12224 , Nice to see you around.

Just for any doubts, most of the releases are in phases, not dependable on the region. Meaning, someone  could get the update sooner as their partner in the same household (even by days or weeks) .

Do any of you both still need assistance with this?
If so, please go to the Fitbit app > Profile picture> Help.
On the top you'll see the Fitbit app version you are using. Could you please confirm this here?
