Hello @alfieshanks, nice to have you here! In this case the phone you are using has not been listed as a compatible so this can caused the tracker doesn't behave as is expected since the app is not optimized to run in these mobile devices.

It wouldn't hurt to try the troubleshooting steps:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Try setting up your device again.
  3. Turn your Fitbit device off and back on using the instructions in this post.
  4. Try setting up your device again.
  5. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on).
  6. Try setting up your device again.
  7. If you can't set up after the reboot, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

If that does not work, I suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

See you later and hope this helps.

I also had the same issue with my Charge 2 not connecting properly with the Huawei P8 Lite and my wife's Alta HR was not recognised at all by the same phone. I spoke to Huawei support directly last night and they confirmed it is a known issue that very few of the Huawei phones will work with the Fitbit bands and despite discussions between the two companies no one knows why and there is no planned fix date. I have returned both P8 Lite phones as not fit for purpose as a result.

I did however find that the Alta HR would work on my daughters Honor 6A which is odd given they use the same overlay of EMUI 5.1

Hi monica
I had to go into settings and then into system. I then clicked on system
update as it wasn't up to date. Once it downloaded the new up date I was
able to pair them. Hope this works for you
Good luck
Trudence.
