There's no idea on GPS tracking, if after the exercise you have to delete it and make it again manually because you cannot edit it.

You loose the tracking.

I'm so disappointed.

First of all: where is the pencil icon?? There is only delete and Export TCX File.

The gps is quite slow and it leaves a small gap at the end of the run. If I'd like to add those missing meters by editing the run, how can I do it? Hope this is clear enough, my English isn't fluent.

Hi, Ricardo, I have a question.  I logged a run this morning, but the distance is incorrect (my phone has coverage drops along my route).  How do I edit the distance?  I've already read the article, "How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities," but no pencil shows up on the screen.  It's a bit bewildering as to why this is so difficult.

Here you can see the problem. The blue line is missing. Tracking was on. It stops too early and won't count if I go for example to the forest. So there's no point using the gps because it's not working properly 😢

I have read the article on how to edit but the pencil icon you refer to does not display. you can only export or delete the exercise.

Is there something else to be done?

Thank you,

Kat

@Katzworld Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

Take into consideration that activities can only be edited in the Fitbit app and only the categorization could be changed. Learn more about it in this article

Hope this helps.

@Katzworld, @Maryhannah, @SilviaFitbit - I returned my Fitbit and purchased a competitor's device.  Not being able to solve this simple issue was unacceptable to me.  I'm now unsubscribing from email notifications, but I wish you all the very best!

Me neither.

I had this question over a year ago, nothing has happened. Still no pencil icon, still they tell us to read the same instructions. I gave up.

I haven't used the GPS, it's just not working.

Here is where the icon should be, but it's not there. Never going to buy a Fitbit again.

@ecrocker Sorry to hear that. Hope you could give Fitbit another opportunity in the future.

@Maryhannah Thank you for getting back. Your feedback is appreciated, we're always striving to improve our services offered. Please note that GPS activities can't be edited, the only activities that you could change it's categorization are SmartTrack or the ones that were tracked with the exercise app.

You may want to vote and comment on this idea, they are reviewed by our team and the status will change depending on Fitbit plans.

Hope this helps.

Ok. Just wondering why you couldn't tell me this a year ago (that GPS activities can't be edited)? I could've return the watch and get my money back. There still isn't idea to use the GPS, it just doesn't work. It's slow, sometimes takes almost 10 minutes to connect, it misses parts of the route. I have been forced to use Sports Tracker.

But the issue is now gone and closed, sometimes you have to learn the lesson hard way. Thank you.
