My Versa receives text messages and notifies me when I have a next text message. However I can't see who the message is from nor read the message on my Galaxy s8 plus.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that the text notifications feature of your Versa is working in such way. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Is this affecting text messages only or phone calls too? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Versa are correctly configured.
After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

This started happening when I got a new phone. I tried the troubleshooting and the notifications settings and that didn't help. Only on text messages I cannot read the name or number of the sender or the message on my Versa. I can receive phone calls and see the sender on the Versa.

I restarted everything for the 3rd time and now it seems to be working. Thank you for your assistance.
