Unable to reset password

So a week ago today i got an email from Fitbit saying there was suspicious activity on my fitbit account for example like i was out of town, country, etc.(For the record I haven't done any travelling lately)  Fitbit advised that I needed to reset my password by using the reset password tool.  Unfortunately I can't get the reset password link to work. I have tried every suggestion such as checking my spam, junk folders, check my settings and no luck.  So since last Thursday I have been unable to sync my fitbit. (which caused me to lose a challenge).  I can still log onto the website through facebook login but can not login to my app to sync my fitbit watch.  I have contacted customer support via email, chat and telephone(numerous times) and no one will help.  I just get the standard your case has been escalated and technical support will  contact you.  Well nothing from technical support in a week!  I can't believe that Fitbit doesn't have a better way to verify accounts such as a two step confirmation like facebook or challenge questions.  At this point it looks like the only way i am going to be able to get my watch to sync is to start a new account. Which really frustrates me because i've been stepping since May 2018 and average 10000-11000 steps a day.  Not to mention having to find my friends again.   Any help would be appreciated!!

Hello @howard53.

Thanks for sharing your experience and frustration on the current sitaution.

Given the large volume of contacts at this time it is taking longer than usual for our team to review all cases. Having said that, after checking myself I can tell you that we will be reaching out to you.

I'll be happy to help you if there is anything else that I can help you with.
