I have tried adding friends by email and user name and i get an error message "Failed to send friend request" Error 404

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced such situation and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, please try the following steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
  7. Let me know if the issue persists.

I have tried the everything you have suggested. I have a Samsung galaxy s6. I got my fit bit and installed the app on 31.12.2019 and to date I have not found a fix. I have also tried to login on my desktop and still I am unable to make friend request. Please Please Please don't ask me to try the troubleshooting that I have seen in other threads which have not worked for me.
