Unable to setup Alta with Google Pixel 3A

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a new Google Pixel 3A and can't get it to pair with a brand new fitbit alta hr. It's charged. I see fitbit.com/setup when I tap the screen. It shows fully charged. Pixel 3A doesn't find it. I am really new to the Android and completely new to a fitbit.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @LynnAZ, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

I'll be around if you need anything else, please keep me posted.

I realize that a lot of questions may be from folks who don't bother to exhaust all the online information before contacting the help desk but that is not me. I went through all of the suggestions before I contacted you. From what I can see, the fitbit ALTA HR is not configured for the Google Pixel 3a XL yet. Total waste of a birthday present.

Thanks for your reply @LynnAZ, sorry for the delay in responding.

I appreciate the time you spent here in the Community Forums looking for an answer to your Alta HR difficulties. Please note that there's no configuration issue with the Google Pixel 3A XL. Please try the troubleshooting steps that were shared on my previous post and let me know how it goes.

I'll be around.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but this is the first result on a Google search.

The issue between my Alta HR and my Pixel 3A seems to be in the app. I went through the pairing several times, and the app always got stuck after entering the pairing code.

When I finally gave up trying, I noticed that the Fitbit had in fact successfully paired, but I had no confirmation on the app.

This is super confusing, since the Pixel A series is not listed in a supported devices (A devices are different phones from their non-A counterparts, they should be listed separately) in https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315.htm

Another thread reports that customer support confirmed that the Pixel 3A is not supported: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Syncing-difficulties-with-Google-Pixel-3A/m-p/4455870/hi...
