Unable to setup Charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I removed the device from my phone app (Android). But I did not get the setup screen on the Charge2 after that. It still just works on like everything is normal.

But now when I try to add a device on the new phone (for a new user) or try to connect with my device/account. The setup does not find the Charge2. I assume it is not in setup mode.

What can I do - I looked at some tutorials and the watch is supposed to go into setup mode when it is disconnected from the account.

It doesn't go into a setup mode when disconnected and what you have tried sounds like the right process.

You mention you removed it from your app but did you also remove any link to the fitbit from your phone's bluetooth settings as this could be blocking connection to the new user's phone.

Do not see the Charge2 in Paired devices list or even in Available devices from the Bluetooth settings.

I'll give more details

My CAT S41 which I use, does not show the Charge2 in Bluetooth settings.

The other persons new Huawei does show the Charge2 as a bluetooth device that is in range. But when trying to go in to the Fitbit app and try to set up a new devie, then it does not find it. Asks all these questions about is the watch on and so on.

The watch has a ful charge and is on.

Do you know which Huawei model? Some of them don't play nice with Fitbit

Huawei P30 Pro (model VOG-L29) - Android 10

Would be nice to at least reconnect with the old phone if the Huawei model is the one that does not play nice 😛 (CAT S41 - android 😎

Unfortunately, according to the help files, the P30 Pro should be ok.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. Sorry. Hopefully someone else will come up with an answer. If not, you could try customer support: contact.fitbit.com

Hi @henrijeret, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation before to posting over here. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device with both CAT S41 and the Huawei P30 Pro phones. Also, can you please let me know which Android version is the CAT phone running?

You can also move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know if the issue persists.

@SteveH Thanks for your help, it's always nice to see you around helping users here in the Android forums.

I'll be around if you need anything else, please keep me posted.
