Unable to sync Charge 3 after update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 3 has yet again stopped syncing with my android app after an update. It happened back in May, when I had to unpaid my fitbit to get it to work and lost all data, and now its happened again yesterday! I'm a premium member and can't sync progress, what's the point! I've cancelled my subscription until its resolved. Any one else had this issue???? Really disappointed with Fitbit and the moment 🙁

i don't know for sure if that's what screwed me up too, but my Fitbit also stopped syncing last night. Thought I had it fixed this morning. Now they tell me that my phone is not compatible despite the fact that I've been using this phone successfully with it for at least 6 months. Very very irritated. I'm being polite.

I assume that you already tried the 5 to 10 normal steps.

Turned off the phone and restarted?

Have you cleared the phones cache?

Swiped unneeded apps out of memory?

Stopped the Fitbit app through the phones settings.

Hello @Paulab37 and @motherdearest, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation before to posting over here, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To further investigate, can you please let me know which mobile devices are you using? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile devices that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

@Rich_Laue Thanks for your help!

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Hi Rich. Thanks for contacting me. To fill you in, I had contacted support,
and unfortunately disconnected myself from the chat we started. That
person said that my phone was not thoroughly tested but was working with
me. I had already reset it several times, rebooted, uninstalled reinstalled
the app. Rebooted the phone repeatedly. Factory reset the Fitbit. My phone
did find the device but could never sync with it. Bluetooth on and off.
Sometimes it would say something about a pin, which sometimes showed up on
the device! I contacted support again, and that tech told me to try it
with a different phone because my phone was not on the list of compatible
phones (pixel 3a). It was hard for me to understand because I had this
phone for maybe a year or more. Tried to pair it up with husband's phone,
but that would require deleting his device and trying to use mine. If that
worked, it would still mean that my phone wouldn't work. So. Not interested
in spending hundreds of dollars on a different phone to accommodate. Upshot
is, I ordered a competitor's tracker after having Fitbit for 7 years. Felt
like I had no choice after spending two days trying to get it back on. It's
a shame because I really liked the charge 3, but I just couldn't take it
anymore!
