@Mom2altj@Cheezbrgrmania I recommend restarting your tracker and then attempting a sync again. That should help you to start syncing again. Keep me posted.

Restarting the tracker worked, thanks

Restarting tracker did not work. Tried a different troubleshooting step...closed app then turned Bluetooth off and back on. Reopened app and sync works now. (Bluetooth off/on without closing app didn't work)

I've got the same problem. I'd just like to know if there is going to be a fix soon. Otherwise I need to downgrade to the previous version. This version will only sync once a day, if that, with me fighting it all day (rebooting, reinstalling the app, resetting the phone, constantly hitting the 'sync now').

I am using a Samsung Galayx S4 running Android 5.0.1

After getting the 2.18.2 version of the app I cannot sync unless I enable "Location" - gps - basically on my phone. I get the prompt "Turn on location to find your Fitbit".

I for one do not want an app like this to have to know where I am to be able to sync. It makes me wonder what FitBit is doing with my information.

From an Unix/Linux kernel engineers point of view, (which I am), I don't see the need for the location to be enabled for the bluetooth to function, especially as it was working just fine before this upgrade to 2.18.2 was put onto my phone.

If one of the app development engineers is monitoring this channel I would like to know why you have to have location enabled and why this update is prompting me as it is.

Thanks.

So, I found that clicking on the spinner icon at the top right of the word "Flex" just under the date line cause the message "Turn on location to find your Fitbit" to show up, but if I click on the word "Flex" which takes me to a second page then click on the spinner icon it syncs okay without having to turn on "Location" - gps on my Galaxy S4.

I would still like the front spinner to work to sync my steps as it used to do.

Ok...this is getting ridiculous. Can someone from fitbit please give me suggestions besides the stupid list of how to troubleshoot sync isdues. I've tried all of them (except uninstalling/reinstalling the app). At this point, none of them fix my problem. I even installed the 2.19 update and it still doesn't work.
