Hi there @Marj71, welcome to the Fitbit Community. Indeed, Samsung Galaxy J3 is not listed as a compatible device, however this doesn't mean your phone won't work with the Fitbit app.

To clarify this, when a device is not listed as compatible; it means we cannot guarantee all features of the app or tracker will work as is intended. Meaning that syncing or using other features, like notifications, may not behave correctly in occasions.

Nonetheless, It would not hurt to give it a try to these suggestions here: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app)

For more details, please refer to our article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

See you around and hope this helps.

Hello there @Marj71 and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @Diane56. I appreciate your input and thanks for sharing with us you are able to use notifications with your phone. I'm sorry for not being around lately.

@Marj71 Fitbit is compatible with more than 200 of the most popular Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices. The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found at fitbit.com/devices. If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.

Additionally if the issue persists, make sure your app is updated. There is a new version that has been gradually rolled out, that might give you some help to receive notifications. For more details please refer to this post.

Catch you later.
