Hi,

Got a Fitbit surge for Christmas (yay!) And trying to understand a bit more about the data logged

If I start a workout from the surge, say weights, does this count towards my active minutes?

Thanks

@Pgulina Welcome to the Community! Robot Happy

To learn more about how to earn Active Minutes I recommend checking out this information filled help article titled: "What are active minutes?" Hope that helps to clarify.

@ErickFitbit Hi Erick,

Thanks for reply! Read the article but could you clarify if I start a workout on the Surge, does that count towards Active Minutes?

For example, I did a 5 minute kettlebell session which is logged under exercise but had no effect on my active minutes. My heart rate registered 133bpm average so I'm sure it was active 🙂

Just reread it - so 10 minutes and over for active minutes to count

Aha, will test it out some more 🙂

@Pgulina Thanks for clarifying that you were able to find the "minutes are only awarded after 10 minutes of continuous moderate-to-intense activity" section in the article. Hope that helps to clarify. Robot Happy
