Unlink Google from Fitbit

I've seen similar posts, but perhaps my question is a little different.

I thought I lost my Fitbit a while ago but just found it today.

I was able to log into my account and see my profile info although all my data is too old to see when I last use it.

The app asked me to connect to my Google which I tried to but I got an alert saying that my Google account was already attached to another Fitbit account.

II was able to log into the other Fitbit account which had the same email address as my Google account but it did not have any data or profile info for fitbit. I made a request to delete that Fitbit account since it was never used and I don't know how it was even set up, in hopes that it would automatically disconnect from my Google account.

This was just today so perhaps waiting 7 days will permanently disconnect it, but the Fitbit still says that my Google account is connected to that Fitbit account that was just deleted.

Am I correct that waiting will solve this or is that a permanent connection even with the Fitbit account deleted?

Hi, @celloshred welcome to the community, I think you are right to give it a bit of time, you can only have one Fitbit account. If you do not see any progress talk to "Customer Support" using the phone or chat facility for prompt attention.

I hope this helps.
