A few days ago, the LG G4 phone I had synced to my Fitbit Charge 2 broke. It crashed and was stuck in a "boot loop" - wouldn't boot up past the startup screen, taking out the battery did nothing to help, and the only way to fix it would be to send it off to have it repaired.
I was eligible for an upgrade, so I ended up getting a new LG G6. However, when trying to re-pair my Fitbit with the new device, I found out that in order to pair with a new device, I need to UNpair with the old one. Due to the boot loop issue stated above, that is not an option. Is there any way to pair my Charge 2 with my new phone without the old phone?

Hi there @ilee95, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! Glad to read you were eligible for a phone upgrade after the boot loop of your previous LG.
Regarding your query, note that there is no need to unpaired your tracker from your old phone or pair the tracker back in your account. Since your Charge 2 is already paired with your Fitbit Dashboard, is just matter to log in to your Fitbit app on your new phone and you will be ready to sync whit no further hassle.
In case of the notifications, is require to enable again the option. However I'm wondering if the app is giving you some sort of error of connection? Otherwise you should be ready to sync without the need of unpair your tracker.
See you later and keep me posted.
