I just bought the blaze tonight and I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. While trying to set up I get a message that says firmware update required. I am not getting any options or anything to select on the blaze or my phone.

The only thing my fitbit shows is the fitbit symbol and under it
fitbit.com/set up. I can't get any other screens. I charged it for 8 hours
last night. I can't turn it off either.

@MJRuck14 ypir not going to get out of this screen on the Blaze until you update it.

The Blaze is already connected to your account, did you read the article @Odyssey13 linked to.

Basically you will tap on that message that tells you that typy need an update,  now follow tye prompts.

Now with your phone put the Fitbit app inyo the background, leave it running. Failure to do this will cause tye update to fail when the phone goes to sleep.

Yes, I read that message previously but nothing was different than it had
been. I ended up turning my phone off then back on and finally it updated.
Thank you both for your suggestions!

Sorry @MJRuck14 there was no metion of having problems, the question i read was how to perform an update.

When there are peoblems in comunicarion between the phone and the tracker, if a restar of tye tracker doesnt work, i generally recomend shutting down then turn on the phone. Yes there are many tungs that could be tried, but shutting down will fix most in one step.

If not then a delete and fresh install of the app would be next to try, or a replace tracker routine, replacing it with itself.
