Update your Fitbit App by September 30, 2024

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

In order to ensure an optimal experience, please take a moment to update your Fitbit app to the latest version by September 30th for those using Fitbit app versions 3.00 to 3.90 and 4.00 to 4.21. If you wait beyond that date to update, the Fitbit App could experience performance issues.

Visit the Google Play Store to update the Fitbit app.

To determine your app version:

For Fitbit App 3.00 - 3.90
Google Account: Today > Account Menu (Top Right Icon) > Help > Version
Fitbit Account: Today > Account Menu (Top Left Icon) > Help & Support > Version

For Fitbit App 4.00 - 4.22 (and higher)
Google Account: Today > Google Account Menu (Top Right Icon) > Help > App Version
Fitbit Account: Today > Settings (Top Right Gear) > Help > App Version

@Emma_T  I've never used Stridekick, but Dashboard definitely shows everything - including the stuff that isn't making it into the app.

Smart move. Stay away from Google. Same attitudes, responsiveness, tech skills will be common across  product lines - that kind of thing trickles from top down. Too bad the original Fitbit folks couldn't be brought in to salvage the mess Google has caused to their terrific Fitbit products. But that original team, I suspect, are all happily retired (or, on to other entrepreneurial ventures) with their multi-million $$$ from the buyout. Or, hamstrung by Google mgt.

Haven’t lost any data. My only issue is with the readiness score that has been updated, but whenever I tap into the icon in the app it crashes!! I’ve been in touch with them at least 4X and being told they’ll escalate it to a higher level!

Moderator edit: word choice.

@Palexr Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That dashboard is a keeper. It shows much more data than the updated app. It's all there.

Stridkick allows folks to enter challenges and connects with the Fitbit API to pull your data.

Which site are you saying you like best, Emma?

Is it Exercise Quest or StrideKick?

Thx!

@Fotomaker01 I only know about and use Stridekick. You can do challenges with folks from all over the world or set up your own.

I only participate in the goal challenges, not leader boards. I don't need the added stress.😆

App was updated on September 30 . Still having issue with readiness score crashing app after I tap the icon. Have been in contact with customer support at least 6 times and keep being told it was sent to a higher source !! Still nothing has been accomplished!! So much for paying a premium!!

Interestingly I got this on X today from Fitbit support. We shall see.

I stopped using my Inspire 3 b/c of all the app failure issues that rendered the wearable piece of plastic and metal useless. If anyone, using Android devices, updates to the allegedly new all fixed & working release that Palexr refers to above, could you pls report your experiences with it here over a period of days after the release (sometimes apps that work initially then revert to bad bhvr of various ilks!). I'm not updating anything or generating the energy to even hope my Fitbit will be usable again until I see a lot of consistent 'all clear' (and working as supposed to) messages from other Android Fitbit mobile device users. Thx!

I see there is pinned announcement about a 4.27 app rollout.  Just wondering if anyone has received it and has it resolved anything?

Updated to 4.27.

The Exercise Days tab is visible with data in it.

But it still isn't syncing to my watch...

Mine is updated to 4.27 now and i can see excercise showing in the app from Peloton, and i also get the same error although i think it has synced anyway as when I click on the watch it shows synced.

Its progress at least.

Updated to 4.27 yesterday and still have historical exercise data missing if I don't show Health Connect data. The funny thing is, I only have Fitbit syncing to Health Connect data, so this information is somewhere with Fitbit and the app just refuses to show it!

Please fix this!

Pulling down in the Fitbit app results in the ref banner indicating that the app couldn't sync with the pixel watch.

However, I've just been for a run and the data is there. So, progress? Most of the historical data is in the exercise tab. There are a couple of weeks missing in July. I know the data is there because I can see it on the dashboard.

This version is totally bugged on my side with sense watch. No more feature to edit activities, can't share map running, bad value of distance when swimming with the correct length pool configured.

I receive an answer on the play store that a next version will come for the 8 October but nothing new available. 😡😡😡.

Maybe it's time to go on another brand.

I am extremely disappointed. I do not now when my app updated however I use my sleep information and now I get some basic screen. Where is my heart rate, and my breathing? I am a premium subscriber. I also now do not get a recovery score. I have a pixel 8 pro, and a pixel watch 2. All was fine. I would appreciate some plain answers, and to let me know if I need to stop paying 10 dollars for something that is not providing me with anything. As a long time Fitbit user, this is a big disappointment, and I am not sure how you can recover from this. And my app version is 4.27. Thank you
