Updated app is still a frustrating downgrade

The new app design is aesthetically pretty but SO much harder to use.

  • Sleep information used to be presented in a one-look overview, but now I have to click through a bunch of stuff to get the same information.
  • Exercises aren't searchable, so instead of being able to search for something like "stretch", I have to browse through EVERYTHING in the tags, and there aren't many to choose from. It takes FOREVER to find a workout and it's almost never exactly what I want.
  • The new, subtle color scheme is SO BORING and harder to read; some design team was going for aesthetics but the functionality totally fell flat

Everything in the new app takes longer and looks worse. Did they actually test the interface with users? I'm baffled as to how this made it into production.

Note: couldn't post this as a reply to the announcement about the new app rolling out because that post is closed to comments as of march 2024.

I am sorry for the inconvenience you have faced during this time using the new app.

Please note that whenever we make changes and improvements we think about how to meet the demands of our customers. However, this does not guarantee that in some cases certain features of the application or trackers will not be pleasant for some of the users.
