My versa 2 will not sync since Oct 10th. I have reinstalled the app, restarted the tracker, unpaired all my devices from bluetooth and still getting the no device found error. What can i do next

This is also my issue. I had a charge 2 that finally died and bought a versa 2 to replace it but it keeps losing the connection so i cannot get it to update. I have reinstalled the app and uninstalled and installed the watch and it still isn't working. Very bummed about it.

I have the same problem. I find it happens after I charge my versa 2. I can see my versa as a device that was previously connect but when I tap connect nothing happens. Eventually for some unknown reason the versa2 is connected.

I have an LG G6. I've had issues for many months. They even sent a new watch face because I have the protection plan. The new one doesn't snyc either. Im at a loss with it. I've tried everything they suggest multiple times. I doubt they will make good for it as so many are obviously having this issue.

I went from a Charge 2 to a Versa 2 - nothing but problems. The watch works fine as a standalone - the app just fails to sync with the watch. They resorted to saying my LG V20 isn't on their supported list, which is a dead end with their support. Really? My Charge 2 worked perfectly for years but now you tell me my phone isn't supported / compatible with these features just because I now have a different watch? Come on... This should be much more embarrassing for them. They have an easy out by having a compatible phones list. They don't have to try. All they have to do is point at the list.

I had to reset my versa2 to wifi again and it worked. Try it before you give up

I've tried it both ways, sadly. It works for the initial setup / sync, then it stops syncing regularly and my phone can't find the Fitbit.

How do you reset it to WI-FI? All I am seeing is a message to download the app.

Same issue, and it's definitely the app in my case. This was happening with my Blaze and was finally resolved for the last several months. I upgraded for Christmas and here we go again.
If I force close and then reopen the app repeatedly, it will sync for an hour or two, then it will go back to "No device found". Rinse and repeat.
This is pretty unacceptable, Fitbit. When there's a known issue, it's supposed to get fixed.

Okay folks, I might have found a longer-term fix. Here's what worked for my Blaze several months back, but for the life of me, I couldn't find the original post with these instructions, so I'll comment it here... This is on an LG V20 but has worked on other Android devices as well.
TRY THIS ONLY IF NOTHING ELSE HAS WORKED. It's time-consuming.
Some of these steps may be superfluous, but I had done some or all of these individually and my Versa 2 would still stop syncing after a few hours until I restarted the app or my phone. The problem would ALWAYS return.
Follow these steps in the exact order.
1. Go into the Fitbit app and remove your device.
2. Go to Settings>Apps (location may vary by device), find the Fitbit App and tap on it.
3. Tap "Storage". Now, Clear Cache, Clear Data, then Uninstall the app from here. This will ensure that it isn't leaving anything behind
4. Go back one screen to the list of your apps. Depending on your phone, you might see System apps, or you may have to tap "Menu" (three dots, top right) first to show System Apps.
5. Find and tap Bluetooth (there may be more than one, do them both) and Clear Cache and Clear Data.
6. On your Versa 2, go to Settings>About>Factory Reset.
7. While your Versa 2 is restarting following the reset, restart your phone.
8. Once everything is back up and running, install the Fitbit app and Pair your Versa 2. Go ahead and complete all updates and wi-fi connecting and whatnot.
I've been syncing successfully now for over 12 hours, even after connecting my phone to my car's Bluetooth multiple times. This used to be a guaranteed killer of my Fitbit's sync abilities but doesn't seem to bother it now.
Cheers everyone! I hope this works for you!

Thanks for all that info, Du_Kee. Do you mind following up with this post after 24 hrs has elapsed with an update? If this works out and your Fitbit stays automatically syncing successfully for an entire day, I'll certainly do all these steps. The only step I haven't tried yet is #5, which I am trying now, followed by a watch restart. I won't be able to factory reset my watch until later tonight, which is why I'm kindly requesting a 24 hour update if it is working properly for you by then.
Thanks a lot for providing these steps. Hopefully this will work out for you.

Unfortunately, I'm still having the same issues. I will admit this was a temporary fix for a couple days, then back to no device found

After seeing Du_Kee's post I did some digging. I have a telecom engineering background and so I studied some factsheets of LG (I have a G6 on TMobile) and Fitbit. So, typically cell phone carriers add a layer of customization on the phones that are sent to them from the manufacturers. Sometimes this customization indirectly impacts bluetooth functioning. And a G6 model phone in T-Mo could function differently from At&T. And sometimes that customization can interfere with the firmware of another communicating device, the Versa 2 like in this case.
That's the only explanation and so it is not a Fitbit issue, it's just unlucky that there is a communication gap between firmware versions of the communicating devices. that's the explanation for as to why every guidance that Fitbit gives you does not work. because it is not in their control. I would suggest that the best option is to keep clearing your bluetooth cache often and syncing the device. I followed the instructions of Du_Kee and i haven't had any issues for 24 hrs..let's see if I can get past your 2 day mark. will keep you posted

I've had the Versa 2 for three weeks now and the initial setup of it with my Samsung S10+ went fine. I then noticed that it would intermittently stop syncing and in the Fitbit app it would state "no device found". If I went to the Versa 2 within the Fitbit app and went to "Sync now" it would spin and then show a circle with an exclamation mark. On my phone I tried disabling Bluetooth and turning it back on and also force stopping the app but that didn't help. Shutting down the Versa 2 and powering it on wouldn't do anything either. The only thing that would get the device to be found and syncing going again was restarting my phone. I then discovered that the restart of my phone was only a temporary solution, typically less than a day and syncing would randomly stop again as the device would not be found.
I then went through the steps of going to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Storage and clearing the cache and data. I then uninstalled it and reinstalled the Fitbit app and paired it to my Versa 2 and again syncing would stop as the device would not be found by my phone after roughly a day.
The next thing I did was change the battery optimization setting under Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Battery and set it to not optimized and that got me a full 3 days of syncing before the issue occurred again (device not found) and the only thing that got the syncing going again was a restart of my phone.
After the restart of my phone and sync of my stats I factory reset my Versa 2 and went through the setup process again which is where things stand now. Battery optimization is still turned off and I have All day sync and Always Connected turned on. We'll see how far I get this time as I'm now running out of things to try. It's very frustrating when this happens as you lose a lot of the functions that make the Versa 2 a smartwatch.
My initial thoughts after troubleshooting this issue was that the root cause of the device not being found was more related to the phone than the Versa 2. Further to that, reading subbuparam's post adds some weight to that theory. It's still strange though that my phone works flawlessly with a plethora of other Bluetooth devices of all ages from various vendors.
I'll update this as time goes on and let you know what happens.
