Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a samsung note 8 phone and my new fitbit versa 2 is having major issues, it doesnt sync likes its suppose to and sometimes when I try to use Alexa it tells me it cant connect.  Is this a known issue?

Also, I've  been thinking about getting a new Samsung Note 10 Plus, will this newer phone work better with my new fitbit versa 2?

Help please

Hi @twag1992. Welcome to the Forums.

Thanks for letting me know about your Versa 2, let me help you to get it syncing and connected correctly. First of all, let me inform you that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and 10 Plus aren't part of our compatible devices list meaning that the Fitbit app hasn't been optimized to work with them. While there isn't a guarantee that it'll always work, let's try some troubleshooting steps together:

  1. Remove the Versa 2 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby. This is just for this process.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  4. Go back one screen, tap on Force stop and reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and tap on your profile's icon > Versa 2 > Sync now.
  6. Make sure the All-Day Sync and Always Connected are enabled.

Once those steps are completed and your watch has synced, try using Alexa as you usually do. For more tips to get the Alexa function working, check this help article.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

Hi @twag1992. It's good to see you here and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for trying the steps above as well for sharing details about it's current behavior. To continue working on this together I'd recommend to try the following:

  1. Turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby.
  2. Make sure the Fitbit app updated to the latest version.
  3. Set up your Versa 2 as a new device so it can be reconnected to your account.
  4. Once that is done, set up the notifications to ensure it's connectivity via Bluetooth.

After completing that process and syncing your Versa 2 with your phone, try these steps to get Alexa working on your watch:

  1. On the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Versa 2 image.
  2. Tap Amazon Alexa > Login with Amazon.
  3. Tap Get Started.
  4. Log in to your Amazon account and read the information about what Alexa can do.
  5. Then tap Close to return to your device settings in the Fitbit app.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend to try with a supported device so we can determine if the compatibility of your phone is the main factor of this situation.

Let me know how it goes.

I think it is from my phone not working properly with the fitbit.
I did look at other samsung phones, i like the Samsung Note 10+ and Samsung told me that it would be compatible with Fitbit Versa 2.  Could you confirm and see if Fitbit has updated and now compatible with the Samsung Note 10+
ThanksTonya

Hi @twag1992. Hope you're doing well and thanks for getting back. I'm sorry for the delay.

Thanks for keeping me posted about your Versa 2's behavior. It seems your Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ hasn't been added to the compatible devices list checked our official list and as you noticed, that might be the reason why your watch isn't connecting correctly. You can double check this list here. I'm sorry for this inconvenience and if possible I'd recommend to use a supported device so you can sync and have your information updated in the Fitbit app.

I'll be around if you have another question.
