Versa 2 notification problems

Greetings:

 

I purchased the Versa 2 for my wife for Christmas. We have been struggling to get notifications to work. Toni has a Samsung 8 smart phone and it has worked flawlessly with her old Fitbit. After much troubleshooting, this is what we have discovered:

 

The Versa 2 is receiving text notifications, but the watch is NOT vibrating to alert her to a new text. I have checked the "vibrator" and it is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Toni is wanting me to send it back, but I hope and pray that we can get this last little glitch behind us.

I'm having the same issue.  I can't figure it out & it will get returned if I can't.
