Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around.

Turn off Bluetooth on your phone and restart it

Turn Bluetooth back on and go to the Fitbit app

Pull down to refresh,

[after the sync popup appears at the top,

and if its not got a progress bar]

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Sync

Click on the circle, to resync

After a few seconds

If no pair prompt appears or if it doesn't sync

Go back to the Today screen

Repeat the process

Hi there @Jmckee64, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

May I know the model of your mobile phone? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here.

Despite meeting the above requirements, the following devices often exhibit compatibility issues that cause our products and services to not operate properly:

  • Huawei P8 Lite
  • Huawei P9 Lite
  • Xiaomi Mi 6
  • Huawei P20 Lite
  • See these additional instructions for help resolving any issues using the Fitbit app on this device.

If your phone is not on the list above and meets the requirements to operate properly with the Fitbit app, please try the following steps even if some of them you've done already, try them in the order listed:

1. Remove the Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth settings and in the Fitbit app.

2. Restart your Versa 2 once again.

3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This may help to prevent any connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference while we reconnect your watch.

4. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.

5. Set up your Versa 2.

Hope that helps.

Read the reviews on Google Play. You'll see you aren't the only one with sync problems. Mine started in 2019 and still doesn't sync (and I jumped through all the recommended hoops). I have an Inspire.

Many Android users, and a few iOS ones, have found that clearing the Fitbit App's cache is enough.

Some also have found clearing the Bluetooth cache.

If it is a hardware issue on phone or tracker, it is best to shutdown the device

Campare the few negative user count with the 29.57 active Fitbit users.
