Versa 3 is very innacurate

So, I have been using some version of a fitbit for about 2 years now. Starting with the charge 4 (which broke after barely a year), then to a charge 5 (which was a downgrade from the 4 but considerably more expensive), and finally to a Versa 3. Bottom line is I am extremely disappointed with all of them. I won't bother with the issues from lesser models, but will stick with the Versa 3. If you are considering buying one, don't. The first one I had needed to be replaced less than a month after I bought it, and only got replaced because I spent an hour on the phone with "tech support", ended up hanging up on them because they had no real problem solving skills, and had to call back and force them to admit the possibility that my unit was defective. That aside, the real reason for my advice to not buy one is the fact that it just doesn't work. It's sole primary function is to track your workout progress and I can tell you it is wildly inaccurate. When running outside, the mile tracker is anywhere from .10 up to .50 miles off. Sometimes it's over, sometimes it's under. The exception is when it is somewhere close to accurate. And on the treadmill it is much worse. Unless you are willing to constantly adjust your stride length WHILE running on the treadmill, it is upwards of .5 to .75 miles off in either direction. As if that weren't bad enough, suddenly the floor counter has gone haywire. I can be walking around the house (I live on the first floor only) and get 10 floors for no reason. It is now averaging about 175 floors a day. I'd like to take credit for them, but I know it's not accurate. This makes it impossible to trust any of the other numbers that it provides. The whole point of the tracker is to keep accurate exercise numbers to have a baseline to work from. There also is a problem wearing the fitbit in the shower. There is no setting to keep the water hitting it from actuvating and changing settings inadvertently. Overall that is a major design flaw that i feel should have been easy to address. The final straw for me is another problem  that the first Versa that I had also suffered from. At least 10 times a day, I will go to look at my watch face, and instead of seeing the time and my basic stats, I get a message that says I need to set up my wallet to purchase things. I've been been told this "glitch" can be fixed by going through a lengthy reboot process, but I have seen in the community posts, it does not work. Really the only good thing I have found is the app itself, and quite frankly it is the only reason I haven't completely ditched the fitbit brand altogether. It would be one thing if these units were inexpensive, particularly for the Versa 3, but they are not. For the cost, they should work much better and have WAY better tech support. I can tell you that when it is time (and that will most likely be very soon because my frustration level is very high at this point) I will not be buying another fitbit. I will be going with a different brand altogether. Long and short? Don't waste your money.
